What is Dial-a-Ride?
Dial-A-Ride (DAR) is a wheelchair accessible, door-to-door transport service tailored to meet the needs of Tendring District’s residents enabling people to access vital health, social activities, shopping, visit friends, access education, training, volunteering opportunities. Service users are able to book their pick up and return times to fit around appointment times, if applicable. The service operates Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00. This is a free service with a valid bus pass.
Community transport is safe, accessible, cost-effective, flexible transport run by the community for the community.
Dial-a-Ride operates Monday to Friday. 9:00 a.m – 5:00 p.m.

How much does it cost?
The service is open to all Tendring residents, it is free to anyone with a valid bus pass or £4.00 single fare.
